make appointments We run an appointments system (tel:980 3835) and will try our best to see you at a time convenient for you. We would encourage you to sign-up to our internet appointments scheme as once you are registered you can book an appointment on-line day or night.
If you do ring for a non-urgent appointment, you might like to ring during the early afternoon, when it can be (a bit!) quieter on reception.
[NOTE: Our telephone system is designed so we can answer two calls at a time. The third caller will hear a message asking them to hold. We will then answer as soon as possible. Don't hang up!] make URGENT appointmentsIf you feel you need to be seen urgently, please indicate this to our reception staff who will ensure you are seen at the earliest possible time.
If a particular doctor has been dealing with your particular problem, it is often best if they continue see you.
If you feel that you are too ill to wait to see a particular doctor however, you can ask to see a different doctor or the nurse practititoner. If you are immobile a home visit may be possible.
make EMERGENCY appointments
Please indicate when you ring if you need emergency attention.
For example, severe chest pains, severe pain elsewhere, shortness of breath etc.
If it appears the best course of action is for you to go to hospital, we will sort it out. If it is not quite that serious we would arrange to see you as an emergency.
