FLU JABS: - still available at the Surgery. We have plenty left.

It has come to our attention that a certain local pharmacy may have been administering flu jabs to our patients and saying they are "helping the surgery  out".

Pharmacies have been allowed to give flu jabs this year, but this is in competition with GPs, not to "help us out".

Patients who are entitled to have a flu jab on the NHS are also perfectly entitled to choose who gives it to them and that is absolutely fine, but pharmacies are not "helping us out".

We have been advised that we are to suffer a massive funding cut in the near future.

This could be not far off 25% of our current budget.

Since our budget has gone down every year for the last 5 years, this seriously threatens our ability to maintain services never mind improve upon them.

More details will be posted when we have them
