asthma and chest clinicSister Haigh our nurse, runs our asthma and chest clinics. There are no specific times for the clinics so it will be easier for you to make an appointment to see her. She works closely with all the doctors and Dr Kelman has a particular interest in respiratory medicine.
If you have asthma, emphysema or COPD (chronic pulmonary airways obstruction) we like to see you at the surgery at regular intervals to monitor your treatment and progress. Sister Haigh may carry out a spirometry test which is a breathing test that gives us quite a bit of infomration about your lungs. We will contact you when your appointment is due. Please bring any inhalers with you so we can check they are still the best ones for you to use.
If you have lung disease and feel you are deteriorating please ring the surgery and you will be seen quickly.
