Dr. Cranston performs minor surgery at the practice. Operations are performed under local anaesthetic. These include removal of cysts and other skin lumps, biopsies, treatment of ingrowing toenails etc. We have liquid nitrogen treatment and electrocautery units available. These are used for warts and minor skin growths.
Specimens are sent for laboratory analysis where appropriate. Joint injections are performed for certain shoulder, elbow, wrist and hip problems. These can sometimes be arranged outside the normal minor surgery clinic times. Please make an appointment with your GP to discuss your condition. If an injection may help, this will be organised. Dr. Kelman also performs some joint injections.
