Appointments can be made by calling 0161 980 3835, or you can book online via Patient Access.
Our phone lines are very busy during peak times and patients are encouraged to access the online services to book/cancel routine GP appointments and request prescriptions.
To register for this service patients will need to bring proof of address and photo ID to the surgery reception and will be given a letter explaining how to access the online services. Please also see the Online Services section of this website.
Routine appointments
Patients will be seen by the next available GP. If you wish to see a specific GP, you may have to arrange an appointment further in advance.
Urgent appointments
Please phone the surgery at 8:30am if you feel you need to see a GP urgently and we will try to offer you a same day appointment. You will be asked to provide brief details of your condition to help us establish the most appropriate appointment for you.
Additional appointments
Evening and weekend appointments are available to Trafford patients to see a GP, Nurse or Phlebotomist between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Friday and between 9am and 1pm Saturday and Sunday mornings. Appointments can be booked via reception and are hosted at four ‘hubs’:
St John’s Medical Centre, Altrincham WA14 2NW
Firsway Health Centre, Sale M33 4BR
Flixton Road Medical Centre, Urmston M41 5BG
North Trafford Group Practice in Stretford M32 0PA
Home visits
Patients are requested to telephone before 11am to submit a home visit request. Acute home visits will be arranged after that time. Please provide as much information as possible to enable the doctor to consider the necessity of the home visit. Submitting a home visit request does not guarantee the patient a home visit. A home visit will be conducted at the discretion of the doctor based on clinical need. The doctor may ring you for more information or provide care over the telephone. Home visits are only available to housebound patients who are unable to be brought to the practice. The practice has adopted the NHS definition of housebound and will therefore only consider home visit requests for patients who require significant assistance from NHS Transport Services to leave their home.
Appointment reminders
We have an SMS text appointment reminder service to help you remember appointment details.
Cancellations
To cancel appointments please either respond to your text message appointment reminder, cancel online or ring the surgery so another patient can benefit from the appointment.
Chaperone availability
If you wish to have a chaperone present with you at your appointment, please advise the clinician.
