Minor surgery

Dr. Cranston performs minor surgery at the practice.

Operations are performed under local anaesthetic. These include removal of cysts and other skin lumps and biopsies. We have liquid nitrogen treatment and a hyfrecator unit available. These are both used to treat minor skin growths.

Specimens are sent for laboratory analysis where appropriate.

Joint injections are performed for certain shoulder, elbow, wrist and hip problems. Injections can be arranged in normal surgeries but require a longer appointment.

Please make an appointment with your GP to discuss your condition. If an injection may help, this will be organised at a time suitable to you.
